Apparently something like 90% of women have cellulite. Even super models from Victoria Secret Angels have cellulite. It’s just covered up by make-up and good lighting!
So, are we fighting a losing battle here, or is there anything we can do to keep this uninvited guest under control?Well, there are certain measures that can be taken to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
And here’s what you can do:
1. Keep hydrated no matter what
Including plenty of pure, non-carbonated water into your daily drinking regime can help you fight cellulite, but you’ll get extra benefits by adding lemon. Lemon acts as a natural detoxifying agent and is rich in bioflavanoids and vitamin C (anti-inflammatory anti-oxidants). Anything that works to detoxify the body will help eliminate cellulite and on the top of it, if you drink enough fluids, you eliminate feeling of hunger that makes us reach for naughty snacks.
2. Exercise to tone the muscles, to burn calories and to move the lymph
Combining a cardio class that targets the butt and legs is a great way to attack cellulite problems and fast. There are also special exercises for improving a lymphatic flow. It has been found that sluggish lymph flow is associated with cellulite. So, just get online; select you tube and do a bit of searching. There are gazillion of videos that show you how to do this.
3. Keep your skin super smooth and healthy
Ok, here we recommend to do number of things that help. Pretty much anything that can improve the circulation is welcome.
For example, take regular massage treatments. Don’t be shy, ask specifically for including your problem areas in the massage treatment. Massages not only increase circulation, and improve lymph flow, but they also help with the muscle tone.
Start rubbing coffee grounds all over your trouble spots. This can help drastically reduce the appearance of cellulite thanks to the caffeine. Did you know that caffeine is a number one ingredient in expensive, store bought cellulite treatments?( However, don’t make this mistake. Drinking a lot of coffee can actually cause cellulite).
If you don’t have a supply of coffee grounds, try “dry brushing” before you take the shower. Circular movements upwards with a special body brush can do miracles to your skin. Dry brushing not only improves the circulation, but also removes the dead skin cells from the skin. And because the skin is the largest organ of the body, it is responsible for a 1/4th of your daily detoxification.
Use natural daily moisturiser. Dry thin skin shows cellulite much more than hydrated healthy and flexible skin.
